Over the course of a decade of intense travelling by plane I have tried many different ways to organize my computer bag. I find it irritating to deal with cords shoved at the bottom of the bag or accessories that slip out the sides and tangled earbud cords no to mention the challenge of finding anything. For a while I was using smaller accessory bags from Case Logic which helped keep things organized but was a real pain when security decided to spend more time on your bag and proceeded to take everything out.
I am happy to report that after years of “almost got it” work arounds, I finally found something that works really well and it is from Cocoon Innovations. It is called the GRID-IT!™ organization system. I went with the CDG25 which fits well in the front pocket of my computer bag. With it I keep everything organized where items are easy to find and security checks are a breeze since everything is clearly visible and can be run by itself through the x-ray machine. I am a bog fan of that system and I recommend it. You see my compulsion first hand in the picture below.
I paid $19.99 and it measures L:8.5″ × W:0.375″ × H:11″ . They have other sizes and many different bags with the system integrated.
